Х’юстон, у нас обмін!

4 та 5 грудня відбувся щорічний обмін учнями між Kiev International School (KIS) та Deutsche Schule Kiew (DSK). 30 учнів з нашої школи вирушили до KIS, щоб спробувати, яке воно — шкільне життя в американському стилі. На спільних парах (DSK+KIS) наші хоробрі генії з головую занурилися у день поза межами рідної школи. Вони обговорили життя Авраама Лінкольна, дізналися про логічні схеми та спробували програмування ігор.
А вже 5 грудня до DSK приїхало до 30 студентів з KIS.
Студенти також працювали у змішаних групах з 5-го до 9 класу, вони намалювали образ ідеальної школи, багато вирізали та моделювали, працюючи у команді. Фіналом дня стала презентація творчого, дотепного та просто красивого проєкту.
Два дні нового досвіду та нових друзів.
Два дні, коли учні не просто навчалися, а ще й пережили багато нових подій.
Незалежно від того, яку мову обрав для спілкування, — англійську, німецьку, українську чи російську, кожен з нас отримав нові знання та навички.
Все це і є — обмін.
Ми, Deutsche Schule Kiew, щиро дякуємо Kiev International Schooll! Радіємо разом з чергової авантюри і сподіваємось, що наші колеги почувають себе так само. Віримо, що це не останній раз, коли ми навчалися таким незвичним чином.
On December 4th and 5th, the annual exchange between KIS and the DSK, the ‘Deutsche Schule Kiew’ took place. 30 students from the German school made their way to KIS to get a sneak peak of American-Style school life. In mixed couples, (DSK and KIS) our brave little geniuses went head first into a day out of the ordinary and discussed Abraham Lincoln’s life, learned about logical circuits or got a glimpse at programming games.
On the 5th though, the tables were turned and about 30 students flocked into DSK’s premises.
In mixed groups from 5th grade up until 9th grade, the ideal school was sketched, cut and modelled with a lot of team work. The day found its finale in the presentation of the creative, witty and beautiful end results in our main hallway.
2 days of making new experiences and finding new friends.
2 days of not just having ‘class’ but having an event instead.
Whether English, German, Ukrainian or Russian was the language of choice to communicate in, every single one of us goes home with new knowledge; goes home with new soft-skills.
And that’s exactly what this exchange is for.
We, the German School of Kyiv, would like to thank KIS very, very much for another adventure and we hope you feel the same way and we hope this wasn’t the last time we’ve had this ride 🙂
